Unreleased Football Boots

ADIDAS F50 i TUNiT

Footy-Boots correspondent Matt Dawson was on hand to snap some great shots of a future model of the Adidas F50 line during a Real Madrid training session.

Based in Texas, Matt was training with Real Madrid’s youth team. He had the opportunity to watch the first team and managed to get us some fantastic shots of a blackout Adidas F50 prototype. Higuain was wearing the blackout football boot while training so he zoomed in and snagged a picture. A true football boot fanatic, he was even on the job in Madrid. It took him some shoving around from a balcony but we think it was well worth it!

adidas F50 i TUNIT

Thanks to Big Soccer, they can now be identified as the adidas F50 i TUNiT. They are believed to be released near the end of 2009 and will retail at around £120 or $195. The first three colourways to be released will be Royal Blue/White/Black, Black/White/Blue, and White/Black/Red.

Members of the Soccer Pulse Boot Room have had a go at what they believe the final design will appear as using Photoshop as shown below.

Stud Systems

As the norm with the TUNiT system, these football boots come with three stud systems to ensure you get the right traction for your surface. Soft Ground, Hard Ground and Firm Ground.

The studs help ensure optimum contact on all kinds of hard and artificial pitches, as well as on various hard and soft natural pitches.

An integrated “wear indicator” on the FG and HG stud systems alerts you so you know when to change the studs.

Lace Cover

As is usual with the F50 football boot, the i TUNiT features an innovative lace cover. This one has been redesigned to provide you with a nice smooth strike zone for the football and an optimal fit.  It appears that it has been shaped and trimmed to reduce the weight.

Alles Klar

A transparent heel is still visible, but its size appears to have been reduced. This will make these TUNiTs the third edition to feature“Alles Klar” (All Clear) element , aiding stability and reducing weight.

Because of different degrees of hardness, it also results in much greater stability and flexibility. Since greater stability is required in the heel area, the material of the “Alles Klar” element is particularly strong and stable here, becoming softer and more flexible towards the forefoot.

Insole

The insole, or sockliner, determines the football boot’s degree of comfort and breathability.

Kitbag ADI BRThe premolded, soft and slightly cushioned insole (standard), as well as the somewhat thinner, perforated and thus extremely lightweight, breathable sock liner (competition) offer optimum comfort and are the final custom options for this football boot.

Expect to see top players from all corners of the globe sporting these kicks come next winter. Be sure to check back here at Footy-Boots as more news about the adidas F50 i TUNiT unfolds. You heard it here first!

ADIDAS 2009 RANGE- PREVIEW

Once again Footy Boots is here to bring you up to date with the latest developments in the football boot market.

Adidas logoThis time around it’s a heads up on what to expect from Adidas in the coming 12 months.

As stated in our previous article, ADIDAS SALES 50% UP ON WORLD CUP 2006 , Adidas is looking to capitalise on the major interest that the Euro’s have sparked and continue their advance on the global football market. Germany’s quarter final win over Portugal won’t have done them any harm and they’re backing that up with some spanking new designs which are bound to cause a stir amongst players, watchers and geeks alike. Here’s what you can expect.

Adidas Predator Power Swerve

David BeckhamAccording to Adidas representatives, David Beckham will have a white/blue ClimaCool® Predator produced for him to wear while doing his stuff in the MLS with the Los Angeles Galaxy. This could be due to him wanting more of a flexible fit than his current synthetic leather after having had to quit k-leather products, more of which you can learn about via a previous Footy Boots article, ingeniously entitled: kangaroo leather football boot ban.

There will be 2 more additions to the Champions League edition Predator’s next season. It is an odd concept, but a White/Indigo/Rave Green colourway is due to be released at the beginning of the competition with a Black/Red colourway being released towards the latter stages of the tournament.

Adidas F50.9 TUNiT

Lionel MessiThe adidas F50.9 will debut in a black/electric yellow colourway and have a new design for the three stripes. At last, Adidas have finally given a player worthy of his own line a colourway. The man in question is Argentina and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. However, plans for an Adidas / Messi razor were abandoned when someone remembered that he’s not old enough to shave. A new Champions League F50.9 will be produced in a colourway to match its counterpart, the Predator Power Swerve’s. Check back here at Footy Boots soon for a look at the specially produced F50’s currently being worn in Austria and Switzerland.
