VENTO DIABLO KL

Vento line

Vento Diablo KL is the top-of-the-range model, with upper in water-resistant kangaroo leather and asymmetric lacing plus the Twist’ngo technology.

The model is available in two different colour combinations: White/Fiery Red and Black/White.

Furthermore, the model features the 3-S technology (Side Stability Support), which gives the foot more stability during side movements.

The insole is anatomical and removable to maximise comfort all over the foot, with a Shock-Absorber cushioning insert in the heel zone. It is also equipped with BFC technology (Biomechanical Foot Control), an insole that accompanies and controls the foot’s natural flexibility, supporting both the arch area and the elastic return of the forefoot.

Lotto Vento Diablo KL

The Adapto system is also inserted in the rear part of the football boot, a thermoplastic quarter stiffener the remarkable elastic properties of which allow perfect adaptation to the heel shape by cushioning it anatomically. The rigid part on the sides supports the heel, while the soft, flexible and cushioned part adapts perfectly to the heel thereby heading off repeated micro-traumas which cause tendon inflammation. Two different types of soles are available: SG, a sole equipped with interchangeable studs in steel and nylon and FG, a sole with fixed conical studs, which includes the Twist’ngo system.

Sizes: 4.5 to 12
Colours: Black/White, White/Fiery Red

ZHERO GRAVITY DUE

Zhero Gravity Due

Zhero Gravity Due is the evolution of Zhero Gravity, which was launched for the 2006 World Cup as the world’s first laceless football boot.

Entirely made in Italy, the model ensures a perfect fit of the foot, thereby offering maximum levels of comfort, thanks to the exclusive Pro-fit technology inserted in the upper. Zhero Gravity Due wraps the foot like a glove: the lack of laces extends the support surface to the whole of the upper, thereby guaranteeing complete contact with the ball and its control without details that detract from the maximum precision of the kick. Furthermore, the external quarter stiffener in Pebax ensures correct support and protection.

Lotto Zhero Gravity Due

The upper is made from microfibre, a water-repellent, breathable and anti-abrasion material, which resists environment variations in more extreme temperatures, as well as the most difficult playing conditions. To best respond to the needs of all players, Zhero Gravity Due uses two internal pull-out insoles that mould themselves to fit different foot shapes.

Another element that makes the Zhero Gravity Due football boot a high-quality product is the sole with Neo Switch technology. This consists of Lottos exclusive fixed and interchangeable studs that can be replaced according to the state of the playing field.

It is also equipped with Puntoflex, a special technical feature positioned crosswise on the outsole at the metatarsal zone level, allowing the correct flexion of the foot.

LOTTO TWIST’NGO

One thing you can always rely on the Italians for is a certain amount of style. The Country, and in particular Milan, has become synonymous with the world’s most beautiful creations. So it’s with bated breath that Footy Boots has been waiting for Lotto to release details of their new football boot collection for 2008 / 09.

TWIST’NGO

The company has been busy with a full on research and development programme to not only to bring out the new Zhero and Vento lines but also to incorporate their patented Twist’ngo technology, the first pivoting stud capable of enhancing players’ performance and reducing the risk of injury. Twist’ngo is an exclusive system based on the insertion of an aluminium pivoting stud in a brand new sole.

Twist’ngo

Twist’ngo (which was named after one of the Lotto directors who got too carried away at an office party during a Chubby Checker song and did his back in) was born from an Italian collaboration between Lotto Sport Italia and the University of Pavia, which have been conducting intense studies and laboratory tests for 15 months.

lotto twist and go

The new Twist’ngo technology will be added to these models: Zhero Leggenda, Zhero Evolution and Vento Diablo KL.

And with Euro 2008 just round the corner, Lotto has decided on new red and white colourways which reflect Lotto’s colours and those of the Swiss and Austrian flags.

NEW COLOURWAYS FOR UMBRO SX FLARE & SX VALOR

Umbro logoIn celebration of the launch of the new England away kit, Umbro has created a special edition England colourway of its celebrated SX Valor worn by John Terry and the SX Flare, the preferred choice of striker Michael Owen. Both boast bold red, white and blue colour schemes, indicative of the pride and passion that each of them play with when wearing their England shirts, provided Fabio picks them of course.

Umbro SX Valor

According to Umbro, their collaboration with Michelin (which sadly doesn’t include a free restaurant guide) serves to greatly enhance touch and feel for the ball, whilst players’ comfort is also taken care of thanks to the water resistant, ultra soft, high-grade leather, which keeps the feet dry.

As for which football boots us mere mortals should choose, Terry’s Valor lends itself to defenders in particular, so we can assume that they’ll automatically lump the ball in to row Z when the wearer is under pressure. The focus is on comfort, safety and control. A lightweight TPU heel counter and new kontact outsole with carbon fibre rigidity shank has been designed to keep the player’s foot stable and protected during the cut and thrust of the modern game.

See the SX Valor Boot Test with Perry Groves

Owen’s SX Flare meanwhile is probably not for the Saturday night kebab specialist having been designed for quick and skilful players as the lightweight material maximises pace and acceleration. The technology of the SX Flare will also aid control as well as looking after the players comfort and safety.

Umbro SX Flare

Viewers of Watchdog will be delighted to know that both football boots, which are on sale now, feature Umbro’s no nonsense control series labelling, which cuts out the jargon and explains the technology in clear, simple terms.

NIKE TOTAL 90 LASER II

Nike Total 90 Laser II - the 2nd incarnation of the popular Nike Football Boot

TOTAL 90 LASER II

Order this football boot NOW

The T90 Laser II takes over from the hugely popular T90 Laser. Hugely popular both in terms of sales and interestingly, used by 35% of Premier League players - you don’t get a much better testimonial than that statistic…..

So what’s changed in the T90 Laser II?

Building on the success of the T90 Laser, the first football boot designed to enhance accuracy, the T90 Laser II improves on that design. Whether it’s a shot on goal or pinpoint passing, Nike insists that the new T90 Laser II can give you the tools to help you take your game to the next level.

Working closely with its stable of world-class athletes such as Wayne Rooney and Fernando Torres, Nike has pushed the technological boundaries to improve accuracy even further, making even barn doors a target for us 40 + lardies. The precision rings that provided the T90 Laser football boot with the largest ‘sweet spot’ in football has been increased, improving shooting and accuracy, whilst the enhanced shotshield technology on the front of the boot provides cleaner ball contact and superior control.

When a player strikes the ball, a well planted foot is just as important as the striking football boot. After analysing the striking action (on the field that is, not French lorry drivers) Nike has integrated a new high density outsole component that supports and stabilises the planted foot when kicking the ball.

TOTAL 90 LASER II

In addition, to ensure a solid foundation, the Total 90 Laser II boasts individually engineered hybrid studs that increase traction and comfort, providing not only better balance, but making you quicker on the pitch.

To arm a player with the most swerve, power and deadly accuracy, Nike has included an integrated V-twin (offset) lacing system that maximises the strike zone. The T90 Laser II also offers the player comfort and protection with a water resistant eVent membrane that enhances breathability and keeps the foot dry.

The new football boot is available to buy from May 1st and as well as Rooney and Torres, you can expect them to be worn by the likes of William Gallas (when he’s not having a blab) tonight’s England captain Rio Ferdinand, Florent Malouda and Fabio Cannavaro.

Players: Wayne Rooney, Fernando Torres, William Gallas, Florent Malouda, Fabio Cannavaro, Gennaro Gattuso

Nike Mercurial Vapor 4 Speed Test

Nike to unveil Mercurial Vapor 4 Speed Test featuring Lennon, Walcott, and Agbonlahor

UPDATE: See Gabriel Agbonlahor Vs Aaron Lennon

As part of the marketing campaign surrounding the release of the new Nike Mercurial Vapor 4, football boot brand Nike will unveil a MV 4 Speed Test featuring some of English football’s fastest young players.

Filming took place last week in a secret location where the likes of Aaron Lennon, Theo Walcott, and Gabriel Agbonlahor were asked to perform a range of speed and skill tests in their new Mercurial Vapor football boots.nike-mercurial-vapor-4-speed-test

The MV4 Speed Test comes hot on the heels of the Nike video viral released last week, featuring Cristiano Ronaldo racing a Bugati Veyron in his new football boots. Ronaldo followed up his dash against the world’s fastest car, showing the power and accuracy of his MV 4’s, by notching a hat-trick in Manchester United’s 6-0 thrashing of Newcastle at the weekend.

Click here to view the Bugati v Ronaldo video viral.

The Mercurial Vapor 4 should prove a huge hit with the world’s fastest players and it will be interesting to see how the three English speedsters perform in the Speed Test. The core technical innovation of the MV4 is an ultra-light carbon fibre Speed Plate that reduces weight while providing maximum acceleration, strength and support to the player. The plate was adopted from Nike’s conceptual extremely lightweight—almost completely carbon fibre—Mercurial SL. The Speed Plate is so strong that its able to serve the dual purpose of providing torsion stability, for greater acceleration, and strength to protect the foot during hard kicks.

Stay tuned to Footy-Boots.com for more details on the Mercurial Vapor 4 Speed Test in the coming weeks.

Ronaldo debuts Mercurial Vapor 4 and bags hat-trick!

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo unveiled his new Nike Mercurial Vapor 4 football boots in style by bagging a hat-trick in the Red Devils 6-0 demolition of Newcastle United at the weekend.

The Portuguese speedster has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 22 goals already in all competitions. After revealing a superstition for getting his hair cut prior to matches, it seems his prematch trips to the barbers are paying off, by way off a flurry of goals.

Ronaldo, renowned for his tricks and lightning speed recently raced a Bugatti Veyron in his new Mercurial Vapor’s.

Click here to watch Ronaldo take on the Bugatti Veyron.

Since its inception ten years ago, the Mercurial Vapor boot is designed to be about one thing only: to help footballers find the fastest route to goal. As the speed of the modern game increases, any advantage can be vital.ronaldo-debuts-mercurial-vapor-4

This new Mercurial Vapor features an innovative re-engineered upper; not just to make players faster, but to make them faster whilst dribbling with the ball and shooting. Only one seam exists in the shoe’s upper material (at the heel), while a new stitched stretch lace cover creates a cleaner ball contact area. The football boot is wrapped in a clear coating and strategically placed ball control lines run from the toe to the instep, creating a grippy surface for all playing conditions.

The patented Vapor Traction System provides low-profile acceleration and multi-directional grip. A modified last broadens the scope of player fit; heel pods have been expanded laterally for more cushioning and extra protection.

Andy Caine, Nike Football Design director said: “Speed and acceleration with and without the ball are essential in today’s game. We have worked with players to develop this new aerodynamic design which minimizes the boot to its streamlined essence to provide the optimum performance benefit.”

Made in Italy, the sleek aesthetic of the new football boot is as cutting-edge as the lightweight technology. Emphasizing the speed elements of the boot, ball control lines are there to represent speed. The Nike Swoosh wraps around the lace cover to give the football boot a faster look.

The introduction of Mercurial Vapor marked a revolution in football boot design. The results speak for themselves; for the last six seasons, the top goal-scorers in the English Premier League have worn Mercurial Vapor boots.
