Blackburn Rovers 3-1 Derby County ![]()
Blackburn came from behind to win, whilst Derby make history. Derby will have scored the lowest number of points in Premier League history.
In what ended up as a comfortable victory for Rovers, Derby did shock Blackburn when they went ahead thanks to Kenny Miller. He controlled the ball from a goal kick on 19 minutes and calmly finished past Brad Friedel.
Just before the half way mark, the impressive Roque Santa Cruz levelled the scores for Rovers. Morten Gamst Pedersen’s long range shot was parried by Roy Carroll, but it fell to Santa Cruz who didn’t let Rovers down.
Poor defending by Derby and namely Andy Todd, led to Jason Roberts putting Blackburn ahead shortly after the break, before Santa Cruz’s header secured the win for Rovers, seeing him net his 19th of the season.
