Birmingham City 4-1 Blackburn Rovers

Birmingham have been relegated to the Championship despite a resounding victory against Blackburn.

Birmingham took the lead on 31 minutes when Murphy’s long range shot should have been saved by Brad Friedel, but the American keeper let the ball go through his gloves into the net.

After the restart, a Roberts shot was saved by Taylor, the rebound fell to Roque Santa Cruz, who laid up for Pedersen to fire home.

Substitute Cameron Jerome scored after 73 minutes to take the lead for Birmingham before grabbing his second in the 89th minute.

Muamba completed the scoring with a stoppage-time header, but all the Birmingham fans that due to Fulham’s win they were down.
