Benjani Mwaruwari’s transfer to Manchester City could be back on, despite missing the deadline last night.
Portsmouth had signed the transfer to take Jermain Defoe, after being told that the Benjani deal had gone through. However, it turned out that the documents had not been sent to the FA in time, due to Benjani turning up late for his medical.
But Portsmouth’s ‘Arry Redknapp has hinted that the deal may yet be passed through.
