No doubt his marketing potential is an asset to the deal but its wrong to assume that they have signed him on this alone. I work as a football coach for a premier league club and i know alot of people who know david beckham very well. My point is that when a coach wants a player, he doesnt consult the board about his marketing ability and frank yallop will certainley be buying becks on his playmaking abilities.
