Joe Ledley was on target for Cardiff as they progressed to the FA Cup final with a 1-0 semi-final win over Barnsley.

Cardiff took an early lead when winger Joe Ledley sent a looping volley into the top right hand corner after Barnsley failed to clear their lines following a Tony Capaldi long throw.

Welsh international Ledley reacted first in the box to hook the ball over his shoulder and beyond goalkeeper Luke Steele with his left foot on 9 minutes to score the only goal of the game.

Gavin Rae could have doubled the lead but his header flew straight at Steele, before Tykes striker Kayode Odejayi shot wide with only the keeper to beat.
