Aston Villa 5-1 Birmingham
Villa hit 5 past local rivals Birmingham with goals from Young, Carew and Agbonlahor.
John Carew and Ashley Young both grabbed a brace, and Gabriel Agbonlahor finished off the rout at Villa Park.
Mikael Forsell grabbed a consolation goal for Birmingham.
The result leaves Birmingham in a precarious situation, third from bottom with three games to play.
Villa meanwhile have now scored 15 goals in their last three games and move into 6th spot, although Portsmouth play later against Man City and are just a point behind.
