He later changed to the Pine Green version after the half. There is a very clear shot of the boot right as the first half is kicked off. Thanks.

Great question. Fabrizio Miccoli wore the orange Nike Mercurial Vapor IV in the first half. For an unknown reason he personalized them with a marker of some sort.

What you’ve heard is true. Here at Footy-Boots we reported this not too long ago in the article, Ronaldo’s Little Football Boot Problem. We’re not sure if his boot size had anything to do with his ankle problem but it definitely poses an interesting question.

Nike haven’t released a Gold Nike Mercurial Vapor IV and as far as we know don’t have one planned. Watch closely as Nike might surprise us all with a golden boot in celebration of Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent accolades.

We have, in fact, seen images of a planned adidas adiPURE II blackout boot. Expect it to be released in the latter stages of 2009 along with a host of other colourway.

In the Emirates Cup and throughout the pre-season friendlies he was wearing the black and white edition of this boot. In recent Carling Cup matches he’s worn the red/black version. But recently I saw a picture of him training in Puma V1.08 boots. Could you let us know if Jack has a deal with any brand?

Great question, you’re obviously a very knowledgable football fan. With Jack Wilshere being such a bright, young prospect you can expect that all the major football boot brands would be scrapping for his signature. As far as we know he is not contracted to any company and was once again spotted in the red Nike Total 90 Laser II against Burnley.

I’m an Arsenal fan and whilst he was at the club Robert Pires was one of my favourite players. One thing I remember is that he used to wear Puma boots all the time, but I noticed in a recent match for Villareal that he was wearing white Predators. I was dissapointed when I saw this because his technique when he ran with the ball was unique, almost shuffling. The Puma boots seemed to suit him when doing this, as they are generally a very flat boot. Any news on why he wears Predators now?

Hi Thomas,
Great question. During his stint in the Premiership, Pires was one of Puma’s posterboys. We agree that they really did seem to suit his running style. His contract with Puma ran out soon after he left the Gunners and he has since worn the adidas Predator Power Swerve’s. This is solely based on Robert’s preference and that alone. It is odd he completely ditched Puma as they are Villareal’s current kit suppliers.

Unfortunately for the USA there maybe bad news on the Nike 5 Super Skills front. Nike will only offer the Super Skills in South America and because they are made in Brazil they are not going to be exported to the rest of the world. These Futsal boots will be extremely hard to come by.

The Black/Black/Sail Nike Tiempo Air Legend II’s will be availible to the US as soon as December 2008. Depending on the retailer they could have them in from mid-December to January 2009.

Raul has been wearing some blackout adidas prototype Predators while training with Real Madrid . They will reportedly be called the adidas Predator TruStrike and will be released in 2010.
