adidas has recreated every official Fifa World Cup ball since 1970 to celebrate the forthcoming 2010 Fifa World Cup.

This special package contains all 10 of those legendary match balls - 1970-2006.

Each comes with its own ring stand commemorating the year in which it was used. Also included in the package will be a ring for your official 2010 adidas Fifa World Cup ball.

Each regulation size ball is constructed just as the original was made - with the exact materials and manufacturing technique. This means each ball in the collection is identical to the original for that given year.

They might look the same as the originals but there is a very big difference: the origin.
As far as I can remember the official World Cup balls were hand swen in France until 1998 were the production was switched to Morocco. For the 2002 Fevernova the orgin was Pakistan, where all the balls in the set are made now, except for the Teamgeist that is made in Thailand.
The balls were all made out of leather untill Mexico 86 Azteca, where a synthetic material was introduced. Every new World Cup new technologies are introduced and it is amazing how a ball can change so much and make shots more accurate, further flights and every time it gets harder for the goalkeeper to save goals. I love football boots, balls and everything related to the best sport of all.
