The Adidas Finale Athens Ball Kicks Off the Countdown to the 23rd May Final

Football boot and sports equipment maker Adidas has unveiled the Official Match Ball for the UEFA Champions League Final, which is being held in Athens in the Olympic Stadium on May 23rd. The ball, the Adidas “Finale Athens”, features the Adidas +Teamgeist technology which was first seen at the FIFA World Cup 2006, with a 14 curved panel design, creating a perfectly round ball allowing great accuracy and control. The ball is coloured blue and white, following the national colours of the host country, and is based on the well known UEFA Champions League star ball logo.

The Adidas “Finale Athens” is available to buy at around £75 and would be a great momento for fans of the winning team.

Adidas and UEFA

Adidas is the Official Match Ball supplier to all major UEFA, FIFA and IOC tournaments. Adidas will continue to produce the Finale starball for the 2007, 2008 and 2009 finals.
