adidas love to kit some of their players out in blacked-out football boots, especially ahead of Champions League games (something about it being an adidas Sponsored competition must give them special access to the players) – and we’ve got two great spots here for you today!

Firstly, Werder Bremen’s Per Mertesacker was spied at White Hart Lane in a very interesting pair of black-outs. Normally an Predator_X man, we can only assume that the big defender is in a new version of the original ‘power’ football boots.

Fans are already dubbing the 11th version of the Predator the Predator Kinetic and at the moment that’s as gooder name as any for these mysterious cleats!

What we can be sure of, though, is that these football boots are definitely from adidas, with the signature 3 stripes visible on the side of Mertsacker’s boots.

Next up is a spot from one of the Footy-Boots.com community; Take a Bow, Andrew D! This spot is all about Arsenal’s flying Frenchman; Samir Nasri. Nasri is red-hot at the moment, seemingly on a one-man-mission to give Arsenal the title – so it’s no surprise that  adidas would get the adiZero wearers opinion on their new boots; especially if they’re the adiZero II or adiZero Prime!

As is usually with the case with blacked-out F50′s, there’s very, very little for us to pick up on, but the distinctive side-offset lacing and laterally stitched leather upper let us confirm that these are adiZero‘s of some sort.

After last spotting black-out football boots on Philipp Lahm and Gareth Bale whilst they were warming up for UEFA Champions League games we’ve since seen the launch of the adiPure IV – does that mean this next round of adidas boots aren’t as far away as we might think?
